How to Make a Recycled Paper (Without Using a Blender)

Do you have a heap of used papers in your workplace and do not know what to do with them? If you are an artsy person or have the love for the environment, you may want to turn them into another paper (recycled paper). You can use this recycled paper as a card or a poster.

We did this in Kindergarten 2 classroom. You can do this also with your children or with your students. Here are the five easy steps on how to make a recycled paper without using a blender:

  1. Shred the paper. 20160614_155738

We used our hands to tear the paper into smaller papers. It could be very tiring using our pincer grasp to tear, so we changed with using scissors to cut.

  2. Soak the shredded paper. soak

You can soak the old papers for just five to ten minutes unless you use old newspaper. Newspaper takes time; we soaked ours overnight before doing the next step.

  3. Mash the paper. mash

We did not use a blender to make the paper into pulp. We mashed the paper using our strong hands.

  4. Transfer the paper pulp to the silk screen. transfer

Squeeze the paper to remove water.

  5. Let it dry. dry

We dried our recycled paper overnight. When we came back the next day, it was still wet. So, we used a dryer to make it dry quickly.

Decorate it after. This is the new product!card
